Week 77

August 22-August 28th, 2017

Well this is the very last week that I'll be in Argentina. Can you believe it? It's been a year and a half already!! I don't think it will hit me until I'm back home.  Still can't take it all in. It's honestly been the best thing I've ever done with my life. Words can't explain the love I have for my mission and the people I have spent 18 months serving. I LOVE it out here. If anyone is reading and thinking about serving a mission my advice is to do it because you'll never regret it. There is no experience in life that amounts to working in the Lord's Vineyard as one of His full time servants. It's an experience that will make you cry when you have to say goodbye. Work diligently, be obedient, have faith and pray ALWAYS and the Lord will bless you every day that you're out there in the field.

There is a member here that spent all Friday afternoon walking around town inviting his friends and loved ones to the multi-stake conference this Sunday with Elder Ronald Rasband. We ran into him while we were out proselyting and he introduced us to Jordan and set up a Family Home Evening the very next day. It is super awesome to catch members when they are sharing the gospel!! They honestly make our work soooo much quicker and effective.

This week we had 5 investigators in church!! Leticia has gone more than a week without smoking, she is reading and praying everyday and we sooo excited for her baptism on Saturday!!  Jordan the friend of the member I spoke of before. Then there is Mikaela and Pablo with their baby boy Logan who will be getting married and then baptized the 16th of September. And lastly but not leastly Tamara who is also a friend of a member that we found and let us right in her house and accepted to be baptized the 16th as well!! Needless to say we are very very pleased to see all these people progressing!!

Hope you all have a great week!!!

Week 76

August 15-August 21st, 2017

Hey!
Today is a holiday and all the cibers are closed... so that means I have to write now even though p day has ended ( just so you know ;) )

I cant believe I only have two weeks left... my family sent me a to the second count down today and it was hilarious haha it actually made my day to see them so excited for my return. The truth is If anyone else had done it I would have just cried. I already have a few times.. I'm such a softy. This week I gave my last testimony in my last zone conference this week and well on my way up in front of everyone I started tearing up and had to wait a few seconds before I started to speak. I makes me sad to have to leave Argentina, my converts, companions, the strong spiritual influence, and well stop being a missionary. I wont be doing this work anymore and I'm actually scared to go back to normal life. Crazy right? I do believe that it is harder for one to go home than it is for one to come out here. I will never ever again be blessed in my life for waking up at 6:30... How sad is that? :(

Well I still have just over two weeks and I'm going to make the best of them.

This week we had a new investigator in church!! Her name is luticia!! She has stopped smoking for 3 days now and still going!! We made a 21 day calendar of our favorite inspiring scriptures to help her turn to the Savior every time she has an urge to smoke. WE ARE SOOO EXCITED!!  She accepted to get baptized on the 2nd! Vamos Arriba!!

I hope you all have a great week!!

Until next time

Week 75

August 8-August 14, 2017

This week was once again a week to remember!! I'll share just one of my favorite moments. Sister Lopez and Sister Torre had a bautism this saturday and we wanted to bring some of our investigators so they could see what it was like before they get baptized and well nobody could come. :( but just earlier that day we had knelt down and prayed to be able to bring someone with us to this baptism because we knew how big of an impact it would have on them if we could only find someone to come with us. Just 20 minutes before the baptism started we contacted 2 young ladies and got to talking with them. They ended up coming with us to the baptism!!!! We got there about 10 minutes before it all started and gave them a tour of the building and explain a few things that we believe. One of them had come with her uncle when she was little (7 years old) but then he moved away. We took them to the baptismal faunt and explained how the power of the priesthood has been restored and well we invited them to be baptized. They both excepted!!!  Nilda and Venesa told us that the it was ¨genial¨ and asked us for our cellphone number so that they could learn more and come to church. Of course we were just as happy as could be. I truly believe that God had his hand in the making and that He realy does answer prayers. I know that He loves us and knows what is best. Never doubt that He will help you with all things that are of a good cause. I know that if we do our part with faith he will do the rest. I know these things to be true and i share them with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Have a very wonderful week! And never loose faith! ¡Todo Saldrá bien!

Week 74

August 1-August 7, 2017

Hello everyone!!! This week was FANTASTIC!!!! I found out on Tuesday that Marcela got baptized on the 28 and confirmed as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on the 20th!!! I was so excited to hear I jumped up and down with Hermana Brown (we were all in Neuquen for a leadership conference) Then Lidia came to church on Sunday and she LOVED it!!! My 2 favorite moments were 1 in gospel principles she said, ¨wow I can finally understand.. I have never been able to understand these things before¨ we were teaching about tithing, fast and offerings. SO cool to see that the Holy Spirit really does light our minds and give us understanding. 2. Relief Society when we all read for the daughters in His kingdom book and had to write a summery of what we learned and Lidia chose to write and she wrote, ¨Hay mujeres en las que podemos apoyarnos y es una manera en que Nuestro Padre Celestial nos demuestra que no estamos solas.¨ or in english, ¨There are women (relief society) who can support us and it is a way that Heavenly Father shows us that we are not alone.¨

On top of all of that I had my birthday this week and well my companion just had to break an egg on my head to wish me happy birthday haha its some kind of tradition here in Argentina. We enjoy some cake too don't worry. :)

Have a great week!!!
